Privacy notice

This notice explains how personal information submitted through this website is used while Bay Pump Track is being explored.

Who is responsible for the information?

Bay Pump Track is an early-stage community project backed by Bolton-le-Sands Parish Council. For this website, privacy questions can be sent to hello@baypumptrack.org.uk.

If formal project governance changes, this privacy notice will be updated.

What we collect

If you use the contact or register-interest form, we collect the information you choose to provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Interest type
  • Message
  • Consent to be contacted about Bay Pump Track

Why we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, understand local interest, keep supporters informed where they have asked to be contacted, and help shape early feasibility, design, funding and partnership work.

The lawful basis for contacting you is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing the project contact address above.

Who may see it

Form submissions may be seen by the Bay Pump Track project team and people supporting the early project work on behalf of Bolton-le-Sands Parish Council. Where useful, anonymised or summary information may be shared with local partners, neighbouring councils, funders or community organisations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Where it is processed

The site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes form submissions and technical information needed to operate and protect the website.

How long we keep it

Contact and register-interest information will be kept only while it is useful for the project exploration and communication work. It will be reviewed as the project develops and deleted when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop contacting you about the project. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.

If analytics, embedded maps, videos or other third-party tools are added later, this notice will be updated and consent controls will be added where needed.
